Staff & Board
Our Staff
Our goal, every day, is to help you find your place in the community, and support you on your employment journey.
We are professionally trained and knowledgeable about working with job seekers with intellectual disabilities and we understand the needs of the business community. Our team members receive the highest standard of ongoing training and professional development.
Our Team is Committed to Your Success.
Our Board
Guiding Us Forward.
Connect was founded by parents of individuals with intellectual disabilities. They looked forward to a future where their sons and daughters could be independent, have their own money and become valued contributors to the community. So they formed Connect to help their children find work.
That’s why we make sure we still have family representatives on our Board of Directors. It is our policy that at least one third of our Board is a parent or an involved family member of someone we currently support or have supported in the past.
We are also fortunate to have the important input of other committed community members and professionals.

Employment Partners
Connect partners with numerous businesses and organizations in the Winnipeg community to provide employment, training and volunteer opportunities for the jobseekers we support. Â
One of our unique partnerships is with the The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB). In April 2007, Connect and the WCB signed a partnership agreement to provide paid on-the-job training opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The partnership reflects the ongoing commitment of the WCB to supporting diversity and inclusion in the community. The training opportunities enable Connect clients to build new skills and experience and enhance their ability to compete for similar jobs in the community.
